SelectHealth Receives Top Rating for HMO and CHIP Plans

SelectHealth is Utah’s top-rated HMO health plan, according to a recent report issued by the Utah Department of Health.

The 2012 Consumer Satisfaction Report of Utah Health Plans measures how satisfied members are with the care they receive from their health plan. In the HMO category, SelectHealth earned the highest health plan satisfaction rating. SelectHealth also scored significantly higher than the Utah average for customer service and “getting care quickly.”

SelectHealth received top scores for its Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plan. SelectHealth received the highest satisfaction scores in all categories, including health plan, health care, doctors, and specialists.

The data for this report was gathered from the 2012 Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS®).
