SelectHealth to Offer New Medicare Advantage Plans in Utah and Idaho

SelectHealth will participate in the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period to offer its new SelectHealth Advantage plans. The Annual Enrollment Period begins October 15, 2012, and coverage for the plans will be effective January 1, 2013.

“As a nonprofit insurance carrier, our goal is to serve all segments of the community,” says SelectHealth Medicare director Mark Richardson. “We look forward to using our long history of care management and administrative efficiencies to benefit Medicare members.”

SelectHealth Advantage plans will be available to residents of seven Utah counties: Weber, Morgan, Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, Iron, and Washington.

Plans will also be available to residents of seven Idaho counties: Boise, Ada, Canyon, Twin Falls, Jerome, Cassia, and Minidoka.
