Investors Step on the Gas; Dow Ends Above 10,000

Stocks bounced higher today as investors welcomed positive reports on Chinese exports and the U.S. jobs market. The Dow Jones industrial average added over 270 points during afternoon trading as investors scooped up bargains. About 2,600 stocks rose on the New York Stock Exchange, while only about 430 fell.
