Serial entrepreneur launches training and placement platform for virtual sales professionals following success scaling clean-energy company to eight figures

-- January 2026 — Kane Hammontree, founder and CEO of SOLVE, a clean-energy and home-services company that has generated over $80 million in sales, has announced the launch of Virtual Sales Society (VSS), a platform designed to train and certify virtual sales professionals while connecting them with companies seeking qualified remote sales talent.
The platform addresses what Hammontree describes as a gap in the remote sales training industry: programs that teach theory without providing verified credentials or employment pathways.
"The remote sales training space has grown rapidly, but there has been a disconnect between training programs and actual job placement," Hammontree said. "Virtual Sales Society was built to bridge that gap by combining skills training with objective certification and a job marketplace."
Virtual Sales Society operates on two tracks. The Remote Closer Career Track is a 12-week program that trains individuals in virtual sales through AI-powered practice tools that provide real-time performance feedback. Graduates earn tiered certification based on demonstrated skill levels and gain access to a job marketplace where partner companies recruit trained candidates.
The VSS Business Accelerator serves online coaches, agencies, and education companies selling high-ticket services. The program helps businesses build sales infrastructure including offer positioning, CRM systems, and sales team management processes before hiring sales representatives.
Hammontree's path to entrepreneurship began in difficult circumstances. Raised in project housing and spending years in foster care, he moved to Los Angeles at 18 and built a window-cleaning business by canvassing neighborhoods directly. After setbacks with two other ventures, he stabilized the window-cleaning operation to run multiple crews across the city.
In 2020, Hammontree relocated to Canada and founded SOLVE. The company grew from $600,000 in its first year to $20 million in year two and $50 million in year three. In 2025, he launched SOLVE Roofing, which generated $2 million in its first year, and acquired Virtual Solar Society, which he restructured into Virtual Sales Society.
"Everything I built came from learning how to sell and how to build systems around sales," Hammontree said. "Virtual Sales Society is designed to give others a structured path to develop those same capabilities."
The Remote Closer Career Track is now accepting applications. The Business Accelerator is available to qualified online service businesses. Additional information is available at virtualsalessociety.io.
