EnerSys Named to Newsweek’s America’s Most Responsible Companies 2023

READING, Pa., Feb. 07, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, is proud to have been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Responsible Companies 2023.

This esteemed award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

EnerSys, among other honorees on the list, was selected based on publicly available key performance indicators (KPIs) derived from Corporate Social Responsibility Reports (CSR), Sustainability Reports, as well as an independent survey, according to Newsweek. The KPIs focused on company performance in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) areas of U.S. companies across 14 industries, while the independent survey asked U.S. citizens about their perception of company activities related to corporate social responsibility.

“We are proud to be recognized by Newsweek as a top performer for corporate responsibility in the Technology Hardware industry category,” said President & CEO David M. Shaffer. “Our energy solutions play a critical role enabling our customers to achieve their sustainability goals and our shared vision for a sustainable future. As important, is our pledge to minimize the environmental impact from our global operations. This recognition is indicative of the progress we have made on our ESG journey and our commitment to being good corporate citizens to our customers, investors, employees, and the communities in which we work.”
