CLTDance Has Brought The Beauty And Rhythm Of Latin Dance To Charlotte For More Than Fifteen Years

By: Get News
In the last two decades, CLTDance has given Charlotte, NC, a taste of the passion and joy dances like Salsa and Bachata can bring. These dances, and many other Latin styles, can be learned through private classes, bootcamps, and even corporate events.

Dance is an intricate and stunning art form that evokes many emotional connections between those dancing and those witnessing it. There are numerous reasons to want to learn how to dance. It could be to have the perfect first dance at a wedding or to find passion in a new hobby. Some people uncover their dedication to it through competitions or just want to have the skill.

Latin Dance is one of the most well-known types of dance, from Salsa to Bachata. These skilled and sometimes difficult-to-learn dances require the assistance of a teacher with extensive background and experience.

CLTDance is a woman-owned, highly experienced Latin Dance Studio that has taught this art form in Charlotte for almost 20 years. Anyone is welcome to find their passion in dance at this welcoming studio, from complete beginners to advanced dancers.

How to learn Latin Dances through CLTDance

CLTDance has a wide variety of classes available to ensure all levels of knowledge are well taken care of. The one-on-one classes range from complete beginners who need to learn the basics of dance to people who have been dancing for years and want to level up their skills.

"Heather and her dance team performed at our school's arts festival. In fact, they were the closing performance. From start to finish, Heather was easy to work with. The dancers were prompt, and the performance was top-notch. Do not hesitate to book with Charlotte Latin & Kizomba Dance. We have also had Heather do workshops with our students in the past. She is willing to customize the experience you want," Deanna Dobbins from Cannon School said when asked about her experience.

Students will be taught the Rueda de Casino, a Cuban dance style where the dance moves in a circle, and partners are frequently switched throughout. Once basic moves are mastered, the art of balance and body movement will be taught. Avid students may even reach a point where they can learn how to improvise moves and build their dances with the inspiration of the Latin movements they've already learned.

CLTDance offers not just one-on-one. They also provide group classes and boot camps and can even attend corporate events to teach large groups. The instructors' talent and experience allow everyone to learn and immerse themselves in a new outlet for their creative pursuits.

"Taking a group class, the instructor has the unique ability to make it feel like a one-on-one class for everybody at the same time. He watches for individuals who need a little extra coaching (definitely me included there!) and gives quick feedback if needed. No question - you will be a better dancer after just 4 group lessons," Brian MacKenzie, a student of CLTDance, said.

Another student, Robert Shapiro, added, "Heather and Christian are awesome to work with. I highly recommend it! For my first time dancing, I took the beginner course with Christian. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, bringing the class along. I recently started class with Heather. She's an excellent teacher and goes above and beyond to help her students learn. For anyone on the fence, give it a try!"
