The program provides valuable civilian work experience to U.S. service members during their last 120 days of service
Today, Intel 471, the premier provider of cyber threat intelligence-driven solutions worldwide, announces its partnership with the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program. This innovative program was introduced in 2011 to serve as a resource for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships or internships during their last 120 days of service. With nearly half of Intel 471’s staff having a law enforcement, military or intelligence background, Intel 471 is proud to open its global cybersecurity business to help military service members make the transition from military to civilian life smoother and more efficient.
“I spent nearly 12 years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps and am very familiar with the challenges of transitioning into the civilian workforce," says Jason Passwaters, CEO of Intel 471. “As a veteran, this initiative is close to my heart, and Intel 471’s support as a whole reflects our company’s gratitude and commitment to give back to our U.S. service members who have given and sacrificed so much.”
Intel 471’s DOD SkillBridge program offerings provide a comprehensive introduction to the company’s operations, technology and intelligence gathering practices. Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, training and career growth through tailored, remote-friendly internship opportunities in the Intel 471 Intelligence Department. Among a variety of duties this intern position will support intelligence team functions, analyze threat actor activity and contribute to tactical and strategic projects.
Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of Intel 471’s core values – openness, inclusion, integrity and client focus – that guide how the team works together. This includes developing strong relationships with several personnel within the intern’s department and supporting tactical and strategic-level projects that enable business operations and efficiencies.
“Our DOD SkillBridge partnership is a win-win because it allows us to support those who have served our nation while enriching our team with their unique skills and perspectives,” continues Passwaters. “We're a mission-driven company always on the hunt for talented individuals with a humble, ‘can-do’ mindset and a passion for doing the right thing.”
