New Keyless Entry System Integrates Bluetooth®, Near Field Communications, and Ultra-Wideband Wireless to Enhance Vehicle Access Security
SMK Electronics Corporation, U.S.A. today announced that it will introduce a new Passive Keyless Entry System for automotive applications at CES 2025. Integrating Bluetooth®, Near Field Communications (NFC), and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication protocols, this new system significantly enhances vehicle access security–giving commercial OEMs and fleet operators an ‘off the shelf’ key-fob and receiver-based system with standard hardware and software with options to customize software, button configurations, case colors, textures, and branding. New (BLE/NFC/UWB) Key Fob/Receiver Keyless Vehicle Entry System
SMK’s new Passive Keyless Entry System integrates Bluetooth®, Near-field Communication (NFC), and Ultra-wideband (UWB) communication protocols to enhance vehicle security–protecting against relay and distance manipulation attacks. Cargo theft and asset protection is a major challenge for fleet operators, and SMK’s full featured solution provides proximity detection and enhanced security. It offers commercial vehicle OEMs a value-added option for fleet operators, with standard and customizable hardware and software. Key fob designs include options for 3 or 6 buttons, and receiver design includes vertical and horizontal screw placement options, and a variety of case customization options to meet specific customer requirements.
