TuneIn Cracks the Bat with the Addition of World Baseball Classic Coverage in 2023

Every Inning of the Global Baseball Tournament Will Be Available to TuneIn Premium Listeners

TuneIn, the world’s leading live-streaming audio service, announced today the addition of the World Baseball Classic to its impressive roster, expanding the baseball experience for all TuneIn premium listeners.

While this highly anticipated global sporting event is scheduled to take place once every four years, this year’s World Baseball Classic marks the tournament’s first return since 2017. Twenty teams will compete from March 7-21 in host countries Taiwan, Japan and the United States, with the Semifinal & Championship games being held in Miami. Premium listeners will have access to every inning of every game and expert commentary.

Coverage of the World Baseball Classic starts with Cuba at the Netherlands in Taichung, Taiwan at 11 pm EST on March 7.

“Baseball has long surpassed simply being America’s National Pastime into becoming a beloved sport globally. The World Baseball Classic is a testament to the impact that baseball has had on the world,” said Richard Stern, CEO of TuneIn. “TuneIn is proud to be able to open up that access to every fan who can listen, not only to this event but the entire MLB season.”

This year’s World Baseball Classic along with MLB’s Spring Training serves as TuneIn’s official launch of the 2023 MLB baseball season. This year, for the first time in the interleague era, all 30 teams will play one another during the season.

TuneIn’s 2023 coverage includes every game from Spring Training through the 2023 World Series. Premium listeners can choose between listening to the home & away local commentary, Spanish language broadcasts or Game Replays if they miss the live action. MLB’s regular season Opening Day is March 30th.
