First Trust Announces Adjournment of Special Shareholder Meeting for First Trust FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Markets Real Estate Index Fund

First Trust Advisors L.P. (“FTA”) announced today that the special shareholder meeting for First Trust FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Markets Real Estate Index Fund (NYSE Arca: FFR) (the “Fund”), a series of First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund II (the “Trust”), has been adjourned in order to permit additional solicitation of shareholders and to allow shareholders additional time to vote to approve two proposals as follows: 1) a change in the Fund’s diversification status from “diversified to “non-diversified” under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended; and 2) a new investment management agreement for the Fund that would implement a unitary management fee for the Fund (collectively, the “proposals”). The Proposals relate to a change to the Fund’s investment objective that would result in the replacement of the Fund’s current index with the Alerian Disruptive Technology Real Estate Index. The special shareholder meeting for the Fund will reconvene on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Central time at the offices of FTA at 120 East Liberty Drive, Suite 400 in Wheaton, Illinois.
