Marquis Who's Who Honors Jacob Little For Expertise In Senior Health Care

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / January 13, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who honors Jacob Little for expertise in senior health care. Mr. Little is a senior care adviser at Evergreen Management, where he helps families navigate the transition to senior living communities. He has distinguished himself through his compassionate approach to care and his deep understanding of the unique needs facing seniors and their loved ones. His path from dining services to sales demonstrates his commitment to serving older adults meaningfully.

About Mr. Jacob Little

Having a passion for serving others from a young age, Mr. Little began working with seniors at age 15. Looking for a job so he could earn money to purchase a cellphone, he secured a position at the senior living community where his great-grandmother was a resident. While working as a server, he discovered he enjoyed helping people.

By age 18, Mr. Little was promoted to dining services supervisor while attending a local community college. He took online classes so he could continue working full-time and established a routine that benefited both his schooling and his career. His career journey continued at 19, when he applied for the dining room manager position at another facility.

"I fell in love with it and was able to completely transform the dining department," Mr. Little says. "We were in the middle of the reconstruction of the dining room and worked out of the multipurpose room for the first six months of my time there, just training the servers on proper etiquette, how to hold the tray, how to serve, how to put the glasses down and anything and everything else. I want the residents to have the best restaurant-style experience."

Among Mr. Little's responsibilities were hiring and managing staff, maintaining budget compliance, overseeing time management systems and learning the business operations of the facility.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Little and his team were considered essential workers, remaining on the job to feed the seniors in their care. They were tested for COVID-19 twice a week until the vaccine was available. "It was sad. We were delivering food to every apartment because they were trapped in their apartments and we didn't want anybody to get sick or have an outbreak. I saw the residents decline because we couldn't let the family members in because that was the law at the time. I was their family. The social aspect is just so important in senior living because it really makes all the difference," Mr. Little says.

A Transition from Sales to Service

After the pandemic, Mr. Little decided to transition from service to sales. He'd always known that would be the next step in his career. He became the move-in coordinator and sales associate at a new community that was opening. He already had experience working with marketing teams on different events in his previous position. During the first month and a half of operations, he assisted with 75 resident move-ins.

Throughout his career, he has witnessed technological developments in the senior living industry. As artificial intelligence continues to expand into industries, it is now used in Mr. Little's field to transcribe phone inquiries, allowing him to review conversation summaries and better understand each family's unique needs.

Mr. Little believes that it's his ability to listen and discern what is truly needed that has helped him excel in his industry. He also attributes his success to the supportive mentors who guided him throughout his career and his strong desire to learn from them.
