Teraki has won support from Infineon with its automotive artificial intelligence technology

Teraki announced that Infineon System will use its latest AI edge processing software in a series of automobile microcontrollers to improve the safety of autonomous vehicle.

TERAKI is an artificial intelligence software company headquartered in Berlin, Germany, dedicated to achieving safer intelligent travel at lower costs. TERAKI's software can help L2, L3 and L4 autonomous vehicle detect and classify target objects more accurately in real time, and can select and process a large amount of sensor data (video, radar and laser radar) at the edge in a lightweight way, which will improve efficiency by 10 times, make more reliable decisions and improve the safety of automatic driving. The company's products are widely used in various autonomous vehicles such as automobiles, delivery robots, forklifts, trains, etc. TERAKI has established partnerships with leading chipset suppliers such as Infineon and Synopsys. TERAKI's technology will be commercialized for the first time in mass-produced cars in 2024. The company currently has 50 employees and offices in Berlin and Tokyo.

This start-up company based in Berlin, Germany, stated that its software is designed specifically for processing large amounts of automotive sensor data, combined with machine learning, and can achieve up to 10 times processing speed using existing automotive hardware.Usually, the limited hardware environment of automobiles prohibits the processing of large amounts of data required by automatic vehicle systems without professional chips. Autonomous vehicle need to process a large amount of data in real time, which is a potential security problem because of the delay problem of wireless networks "Cars are adding more sensors to achieve autonomous vehicle, and this data explosion is a problem due to delays," said Daniel Richart, CEO and co-founder of Tiraki. "Our software can work in conjunction with the limited processing power of current microcontrollers on the market."

Using the cloud for automotive applications is considered risky, as latency issues can be fatal in mobile cars if wireless signals are lost or connections are weak. Teraki's software is capable of processing a large amount of data inside the car. Automobile manufacturers can adjust their existing designs to use Teraki software, as edge processing algorithms can reduce the data load required to analyze critical automotive performance information.Infineon's AURIX microcontroller is the first controller to adopt Teraki AI software technology. Ritesh Tyagi, the head of Infineon Silicon Valley Automotive Innovation Center, stated that for applications such as accident detection, driver behavior recognition, and predictive maintenance, the combination of these technologies can more accurately detect and respond to real-time events, thereby achieving higher levels of system reliability “Eraki was founded by former quantum computing researchers. They apply their expertise in quantum computing algorithms to solve the problem of modern vehicles generating large amounts of data; And it is necessary to provide fast analysis and real-time application of vehicle control processes. Teraki stated that the automotive electronics market is thriving, valued at $395 billion. Its goal is to establish a larger market in environments where IoT applications and other computing and memory resources are limited by hardware.
