By: 3BL Media

SOURCE: CNH Industrial

DESCRIPTION:

CNH Industrial employees came out to the Hunger Task Force Farm in Franklin, Wisconsin to harvest crops for their local community. Employees harvested over 1,000 pounds of mustard greens and about 2,400 pounds butternut squash.

Located near CNH Industrial’s Case IH manufacturing site in Racine, the Hunger Task Force Farm spans about 208 acres and grows over 500,000 pounds of fresh produce each harvest season to feed the hungry and create a reliable source of healthy food for its network of local food banks in the Milwaukee area. The farm relies on support from community volunteers to help with farm activities throughout the growing season.

“We are extremely proud to support the Hunger Task Force to feed Milwaukee’s at-risk populations who often go hungry because of lack of resources or access to adequate food,” says Bonnie Sikora, Racine Site HR Manager, CNH Industrial. “The team of the Hunger Task Force does an incredible job helping local communities address hunger and food insecurity.”

CNH Industrial has an ongoing relationship with the Hunger Task Force, which is part of its global commitment to sustainability and community engagement, and meeting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, one of which focuses on “Zero Hunger”.
