(b) On July 24, 2008, Wachovia Corporation (“Wachovia”) issued a news release (the “News Release”) announcing that Thomas J. Wurtz, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wachovia, will resign from Wachovia effective upon completion of a search to hire a new Chief Financial Officer for Wachovia.
A copy of the News Release is attached hereto as Exhibit (99) and incorporated into this Item 5.02 by reference.
