On October 30, 2008, Artes Medical, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the
Company temporarily adjourned its annual meeting of stockholders until November 13, 2008. The
annual meeting will be reconvened at 10:00 a.m. at the Company’s corporate offices located at 5870
Pacific Center Blvd., San Diego, California 92121. A copy of the press release is attached as
