On March 9, 2007, Buckeye Technologies Inc. issued a press release announcing its subsidiary, Merfin Systems Inc., received the Green Seal certification of eighteen towel and tissue products for the away-from-home paper market. A copy of the press release is attached as exhibit 99.1.
