ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS

 

Southern Copper Corporation (the “Company”) announced that the unions that did not reach an agreement with the Company, Unified Union of Ilo, Unified Union of Cuajone, and the Union of Workers of Toquepala and Annexes, accepted the decision of the mediator designated by the Peruvian Labor Minister. In this manner, the Company has definitely avoided strikes at the above-mentioned mining units.
