Eerie similarities: 2001, 2023 Arizona Diamondbacks provide extra layers of World Series intrigue

Strange, and downright eerie similarities abound between the 2001 version of the Diamondbacks that won the World Series, and the 2023 team of upstarts who take on the Texas Rangers (even the really odd coincidence that a D-backs pitcher in 2001 and a pitcher in 2023 accidentally killed a bird during a game.)
