Manchester-Boston airport investigating 'security threat,' passengers told to leave secure area

A security threat is under investigation at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, where authorities have directed passengers to exit the secure area and be rescreened through TSA.

The Manchester-Boston airport reported a "security threat" Saturday morning.

The airport said an incident that occurred around 11 a.m. ET is under investigation by authorities and that more information will be provided as it becomes available.

"Our teams and law enforcement partners are investigating a security threat at MHT. All passengers are exiting the secure area and will be rescreened through TSA before returning to their gates," Manchester-Boston Regional Airport said in a statement. 

"This is an ongoing situation. We will continue to update as info becomes available."
