The NY Literary Magazine announces the publication of their first print poetry magazine. Additionally, they have announced the winners of their free-to-enter June 2016 poetry contest. The NY Literary Magazine also runs monthly free-to-enter international poetry contests and does not charge reading fees.

The NY Literary Magazine has published their first print poetry magazine, and announced the winners of their free-to-enter June 2016 poetry contest.

The magazine’s July 2016 Anthology contains heartfelt, passionate love and heartbreak poems; dark poetry; emotionally stirring, sad poems about life and death; poems with a deep meaning; socio-political poems calling for change as well as an uplifting, inspirational poem.

The following poets are featured in the NY Literary Magazine’s July 2016 Issue: Emily Marie, Shannon McClary, Tina Cox, Grace Lee, Chellie, Brea Viragh, Fran Marie, Tate Morgan, Greg J. Muscroft, Esteban Luis Soto, Teeya, Richard Puetter, Valormore de Plume, David B. Pincus, Katie Lynn, Adam McNally, Diana Campbell, Damon Chambers, Camille Kleinman, Rebecca Cherrington, Puja Bhakoo, Dorina Li, Edward J. Davis, Tyla Merrill, Luc D’hertefelt, Harry J. Casseus, Tom Higgins, and Nirranjani Sakthi.

The following poets have been announced as winners of the NY Literary Magazine June Best Poetry Contest:

In the category of “Love and Heartbreak Poetry” Shannon McClary won the Gold medal for her poem “I Live For”, Greg J Muscroft won the Silver Medal for his poem “Home Is Where the Heart Is”, and Fran Marie won the Bronze Medal for his poem “Sent Packing”.

In the “Sociopolitical Poetry” category Tom Higgins won the Gold Medal for his poem “If I Could Achieve the Impossible”, Luc D’hertefelt won the Silver Medal for his poem “Oh USA What has Happened to You?”, and Harry J. Casseus won the Bronze Medal for his poem “Generation Backwards”.

In the category for “Dark & Sad Poetry” Tina Cox won the Gold Medal for her poem “Lying With the Angels”, Katie Lynn won the Silver Medal for her poem “Little Angel”, and Adam McNally won the Bronze Medal for his poem “Jealous”.

In the category of “Deep-Meaning Poetry”, Damon Chambers won the Gold Medal for his poem “Ten Years”, Puja Bhakoo won the Silver Medal for her poem “Awaiting the Muse”, AND Rebecca Cherrington won the Bronze medal for her poem “The Devil”.

Poet Nirranjani Sakthi’ won the Gold Medal for her poem “DARK DAYS PAST” in the category of “Uplifting Poetry”.

According to their mission statement, “The NY Literary Magazine publishes a distinguished selection of the finest literary achievements by contemporary poets, along with original, striking visual art. We are searching for outstanding talent, a beautiful play of words, emotionally stirring poems that have a deep meaning and will withstand the test of time.” The NY Literary Magazine also runs monthly free-to-enter international poetry contests. Unlike other magazines, they do not charge a reading fee from poets submitting poetry to them for consideration. This poetry magazine accepts poems from both established and unknown poets of any age and any nationality.
