There had to be a better way,” says founder and CEO Heather Wagner on the inspiration behind the project. “As a cat lover, I tried to train several cats to use the toilet with existing products on the market. What a disaster that was! They were flimsy, unsafe and messy systems that never quite worked. There was only one way to achieve this, and it involved the toilet seat. Once I figured out how to attach a smaller seat on top of the toilet seat and have the trays clip into that small cat seat, the entire system worked seamlessly. The cat could find stability, and I could remove the cat seat once training was over. Most importantly, I could leave it on if the cat needed extra support, just like my childhood cat so desperately needed.”
The Cat Throne is an all-in-one system that works seamlessly together for fast, safe and easy training. It includes a specially designed American-made toilet seat that clips onto the small Cat Throne seat, which allows for unmatched stability and comfort during training and beyond. Also, three varying training trays, an instruction manual, a tidy-up brush, and flushable tofu-based kitty litter that is eco-friendly and dissolves in seconds. It’s even safe for plumbing and septic systems. It will only be used it for couple weeks during training.
