Wrkmash is an apps and services platform that helps small businesses manage all the essential functions in one place. It offers solutions like accounting, visual website, online store, email, point of sale, and inventory management, along with virtual assistant, social media and marketing services.
Wrkmash hasn’t just stitched together separate software applications, but has built an interconnected solution in which the applications auto-update one another. Sales from the E-commerce website are automatically entered in the accounting app as revenue. Inventory is centrally controlled and auto-updates across all locations with every sale. Add the services, like virtual admin, social media management and website maintenance, and you have a true ‘one stop shop’ for a small business.
Wrkmash currently includes Accounting, Website, Domain based email, E-Commerce and Point of Sale applications. The small business services include virtual assistant, social media management, data entry, customer support, inventory management and others. They are also adding new services and tools fairly regularly, so their suite of tools and services is expanding.
Perhaps the best part of the platform is that it is wallet friendly in addition to being extremely user friendly. Business owners can use a “Free Forever” tier to get started, and can run basic versions of their tools until the business “can get on its feet”, according to Rahemeen, Wrkmash’s Marketing Manager. Even when you get on the paid version, the price for the highest tier is a better value than their competitors.
Speaking of competitors, well, it doesn’t look like Wrkmash has any. Not in the small business space anyway. There are services combining business functions, but the really comprehensive ones are for larger businesses only. Out of reach for most SMBs. Currently there is no service or platform that offers what Wrkmash is offering. There is a consolidation trend in this space, with services Shopify adding POS with its website builder, and some others, but none offer the breadth of tools and services of Wrkmash.
With all these tools and services, and the competitive pricing Wrkmash offers, it seems they are in a good place to challenge some of the entrenched players in the SMB space. But it might not be that easy, because transferring to new tools is a difficult and risky proposition for small business owners, who are notoriously short handed and over allocated. “We know how difficult it is to move these essential tools and services for a small business”, says Aasem Khan, the founder. “That’s why for now we are only targeting new adopters. That’s a large enough market. There will be plenty of opportunity to reach and convert the others.”
