Innovative online modules designed to enhance leadership skills and help drive organizational success
In celebration of International Leadership Week, November 18-22, University of Phoenix is pleased to announce the launch of new career-focused skill pathways in leadership and management through its Professional Development Skills Center. According to the Coursera Global Skill Report of 2024, “leadership and social influence” ranks as the 9th highest in-demand core skill, with nearly 40% of organizations considering it essential to their workforce. Furthermore, 53.1% of organizations believe its importance is increasing, making it the 4th highest priority for skill training and a key component in reskilling and upskilling strategies from 2023 to 2027.
“Our leadership and management pathways equip businesses with practical tools to develop collaborative and motivational leaders, optimize team performance, and drive long-term success,” stated Mukund Sudarsan, Vice President and General Manager of Professional Development at the University of Phoenix. “Effective leadership and management skills are crucial as they impact every aspect of an organization, from employee performance to talent retention. We are proud to offer engaging learning experiences that empower employees to cultivate these essential skills.”
Features of the New Pathways Include:
- Developing Your Leadership Vision
- Fostering Innovation
- Managing Employee Motivation
- Team Building and Collaboration
Professional Development skill modules are available online through University of Phoenix’s innovative learning platform, allowing busy working adult learners to access the training conveniently and at their own pace. Participants will receive certificates of completion from University of Phoenix.
These pathways are designed to help businesses by:

- Enhancing team collaboration and ethics by equipping employees with the skills to navigate diverse teams, ensure ethical decision-making and cultivate integrity-based cultures.
- Optimizing team performance by supplying the workforce with essential management skills, including team building, collaboration, and effective communication strategies.
Additionally, businesses can track and recognize employee development through comprehensive skill modules. Employees can start learning, track progress, earn badges, and complete their skill pathway in about 4 hours. Access to the pathway is available for 1 year.
