     On February 25, 2008, Sterling Financial Corporation ("Sterling") issued a press release announcing a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per share of common stock payable to shareholders of record as of March 31, 2008. The dividend is expected to be paid on April 11, 2008. The text of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated by reference herein.
