cellcom israel announces a purported class action filed against the company
While the Company has not issued any report concerning the matter set forth below, the Company’s controlling shareholder will report this matter under the Israeli reporting requirements and, consequently, the Company is filing this Form 6-K.
Netanya, Israel – June 23, 2014 – Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) (TASE: CEL) (hereinafter: the "Company") announced today that a purported class action was filed against the Company, alleging that the Company, in violation of the law, its license and the agreements with its subscribers, denies certain benefits from certain subscribers who terminated their agreement with the Company, for their first and last months of subscription. The total amount claimed from the Company, if the lawsuit is certified as a class action, is not estimated by plaintiffs at this time. At this preliminary stage, the Company is unable to assess the lawsuit's chances of success.
