E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (the “Company”) filed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for
the three and six months ended June 30, 2008 (“Q2 2008 10-Q”) on July 28, 2008. As a participant in
the Securities and Exchange Commission’s voluntary XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language)
program, the Company has attached as Exhibit 100 to this Current Report on Form 8-K the following
financial statements from the Company’s Q2 2008 10-Q formatted in XBRL: (i) the Consolidated Income
Statements for the three and six months ended June 30, 2008 and 2007, (ii) the Condensed
Consolidated Balance Sheets as of June 30, 2008 and December 31, 2007, and (iii) the Condensed
Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows for the six months ended June 30, 2008 and 2007.
