Freeport-McMoRan
Copper & Gold Inc. announced today, in response to the recent sharp decline
in molybdenum prices, plans to reduce production from its Henderson primary
molybdenum mine and to defer the restart of the Climax molybdenum mine (see
Exhibit 99.1).
