Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On February 24, 2017, Newpark Resources, Inc. (the "Company") announced in a press release an upcoming change in the leadership roles in the Fluids Systems segment. Bruce Smith, the current Executive Vice President and President, Fluids Systems, has accepted a new position with the Company as Chief Technology Officer - Fluids. Mr. Smith will assume his new role effective as of July 1, 2017, at which time Mr. Phillip Vollands, currently President, Western Hemisphere, will assume the role of Vice President of the Company and President, Fluids Systems.
